Problem with navaids points in the flight plan
Re: Problem with navaids points in the flight plan
... which does not change the fact that you can not enter KRN (LIN) points into any flight plan.
Re: Problem with navaids points in the flight plan
edit: WAR and LOZ look correctly localized, I see the issue only for KRN.
Apparently the NavData search returns the russian vor instead the Polish one:
13 51.946388889 20.444722222 591 11780 130 0.000 KRN ENRT EP KARNICE DME
3 57.771944444 108.067500000 869 11280 130 -6.000 KRN ENRT UI KIRENSK VOR/DME
12 57.771944444 108.067500000 869 11280 130 0.000 KRN ENRT UI KIRENSK VOR/DME
I'll have a look tomorrow, thanks for reporting anyway.

Thank you very much.
(point LIN also NavData search erroneously returns the italian vor instead of the Polish one)
(Linate Milan instead of Linin):

Re: Problem with navaids points in the flight plan
Strangely I found this same problem where there are more than one waypoints in the world with exactly the same name when using an external flight planner (the flightplanner used the waypoint furthest away rather than the local one).
YET I have never had the problem with 124thATC.

Apparently is a bug of X-Plane SDK. Not sure, I'm droppoing an email to Laminar, I'll keep you updated.jgplarnold wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2019 5:28 amStrangely I found this same problem where there are more than one waypoints in the world with exactly the same name when using an external flight planner (the flightplanner used the waypoint furthest away rather than the local one).

As you correctly stated jgplarnold, this happens when two identical VORs exist. The SDK function has the ability to pass the lat/lon in order to locate the nearest VOR to a given lon/lat, but apparently it doesn't work as expected.
In plugin log is showed the call to XPLMFindNavAid using the correct lat/lon:
Code: Select all
undefined 08:05:31: Found: WAR on lat 52.259251 and lon 20.657167, entering into flight plan as navtype 4 and order 2!
124thATC v2.0-a60RC29 08:05:31: Entering SearchNavType...for KRN
124thATC v2.0-a60RC29 08:05:31: Searching close to the previous waypoint 52.259251 - 20.657167
124thATC v2.0-a60RC29 08:05:31: SearchNavType: Try to find: KRN near lat 52.259251 and lon 20.657167
124thATC v2.0-a60RC29 08:05:31: SearchNavType: Found VOR lat/lon 57.771946/108.067497 in a distance of 3025 miles (navType: 4)
124thATC v2.0-a60RC29 08:05:31: Looking for a closer NDB...
124thATC v2.0-a60RC29 08:05:31: NDB not found, using VOR...
Code: Select all
ref = XPLM_NAV_NOT_FOUND;
ref = XPLMFindNavAid(NULL, fixName, &searchLat, &searchLon, NULL, xplm_Nav_VOR);
if(ref != XPLM_NAV_NOT_FOUND) {
If inLat and inLon are not NULL, the navaid nearest to that lat/lon will be returned, otherwise the last navaid found will be returned.
But the incorrect lat/lot is returned.

Re: Problem with navaids points in the flight plan
Problem solved, the issue is caused by an incorrect DME fixes handling. I'm extending the support of DME and fixing the issue in the next build, thanks for reporting.

Where did you get that version from? When I go to the download site all I see is the version I have which says it is a year old.

Re: Problem with navaids points in the flight plan
I found another defective point: KOR (DME: Koralpe) in Austria (near LOKW).
